ELIT are now Representing Local and Foreign Universities

ELIT are pleased to announce that they are now also acting as an agent for local and foreign universities and language centres. The foreign countries include New Zealand, Australia, United States and the United Kingdom.

School Trip to Morib Beach

Take a look at the pics from the day out at the plantation, factory and Morib beach. Included was a banana leaf lunch and a sunset barbecue dinner. All students were asked to speak English throughout the day, and most succeeded. It was a great opportunity to see more of Malaysia than KL and it's highrise buildings.

The plantation, factory and Morib Beach are an hour's drive from Kuala Lumpur, with the beach being well known for it's beautiful sunsets and barbecues at the local restaurants. Many students played football on the beach and played games well into the evening, with the bus finally arriving back at the Language Centre at midnight. Much thanks needs to go to Martina for organising the whole trip.

A Supermarket Trip

The Upper Intermediate 3 Class took a trip to KLCC Cold Storage Supermarket and explored the English used for shopping for groceries.

A New Name - ELIT LANGUAGE CENTRE!!

We are proud to announce that as from the 15th October we officially changed our name to ELIT Language Centre. I am sure you will agree that this is a much easier name to remember, plus it represents what we do, English Language and Information Technology.

Everything else in the school is the same, same teachers, same management, same addess, same owners, just a new name.

RAMADAN BREAKFAST

CRWMC Language Centre had a Ramadan breakfast on the last night of Ramadan for their muslim students. It was a very interesting and tasty experience for all.

Eid Mubarak! to all our Muslim students and staff.

Ramadan classes

CRWMC is open during Ramadan for those keen students who want more English. All classes run as usual, except instead of a 15 minute break, there is a 5 minute break in the 3 hour period. Well done to those students who managed the full month with fasting as well.

INTERNATIONAL FOOD DAY!!

To celebrate all the cultures from around the world studying or working at the school, CRWMC decided to host an INTERNATIONAL FOOD DAY. Students were asked to bring food from their country and share it with all the other students and teachers. As you can see from the pictures below there was alot of food and alot of discussion - the biggest and most difficult question of course was 'who's food was the best?!!' Nevertheless, it was a resounding success and we all went home 5kg heavier!!!

STAFF TRAINING!!

Yes, CRWMC Language Centre are proud to report that it has conducted it's first round of staff training. The Trainer, Deirdre Conway from the British Council, came into the Centre one weekend and gave all teachers a refresher programme in some of the new developments in the Teaching of English to Adults. The focus for this training was in writing and speaking. Though all those who attended were already fully qualified teachers, everyone gained alot from the refresher experience and enjoyed the chance to exchange ideas.

FULL MONTH IELTS COURSE in March

Just to let you know we are running a full one month course in IELTS starting 2nd of March 2009.

HOURS: 9-12pm Monday to Friday
FEE: RM1000 + 300 registration + 100 textbooks = RM1400

COURSE:This course will work through the Thomson IELTS express book which gives all students a full understanding of the content of the IELTS exam and the necessary strategies to achieve the best mark possible. Students will be given not only a textbook but CD for listening for guidance and practice.

EVEN MORE New Classrooms!

We are very proud to announce that due to the increase in numbers at the Language Centre, we are now able to offer more classrooms, which means more classes and bigger spaces, and even better facilities for all students and teachers.

This new addition now extends our classroom number to 7, meaning we can offer 14 different levels at one time.

Come in and have a look at our new facilities. Our office is still situated in the same place.
